PORT CALCULATOR Shot Put Distance Calculator Calculate the shot put distance using velocity and angle.
📖
What is the Shot Put Distance Calculator & How does it work?

The shot put is a track and field event where an athlete throws a heavy metal ball as far as possible. The distance achieved depends on both the initial velocity of the throw and the angle at which it is released.

d = \frac{v^2}{g} \sin(2\theta)
d = distance, v = velocity, g = acceleration due to gravity (9.81 m/s²), θ = angle of projection

The formula above calculates the horizontal distance traveled by the shot put based on these parameters. The angle θ should be between 0 and 45 degrees for optimal performance, as angles outside this range result in a shorter throw.
