PORT CALCULATOR Long Jump Distance Calculator Calculate the distance of a long jump using speed and angle.
📖
What is the Long Jump Distance Calculator & How does it work?

The Long Jump is an athletic event where athletes propel themselves as far as possible after running up to a take-off board. The distance covered depends on two main factors: the initial speed at which the athlete leaves the ground and the angle at which they launch themselves into the air.

d = \frac{v^2}{g} \sin(2\theta)
v = initial speed, g = acceleration due to gravity (9.81 m/s²), θ = launch angle

The formula above calculates the horizontal distance d, where v is the initial speed in meters per second, g is the acceleration due to gravity (approximately 9.81 m/s²), and θ is the launch angle in degrees.
