📖
What is the Molar Mass Calculator & How does it work?
The molar mass of a substance is the mass of one mole of that substance. It is calculated by summing up the atomic masses of all atoms in the molecular formula of the compound.
For example, to calculate the molar mass of water (H₂O), you would add the atomic mass of hydrogen (1.008 g/mol) multiplied by 2, and the atomic mass of oxygen (16.00 g/mol). The formula is:
Molar Mass = \sum_{i=1}^{n} (Atomic\ Mass_i \times Number\ of\ Atoms_i)
Molar Mass = Sum of atomic masses multiplied by their respective counts in the compound.
