What is the Buffer pH Calculator & How does it work?

Buffers are solutions that resist changes in pH when small amounts of acid or base are added. The pH of a buffer can be calculated using the Henderson-Hasselbalch equation:

\[ \text{pH} = \text{p}K_a + \log\left(\frac{[A^-]}{[HA]}\right) \]
pKa = dissociation constant of the weak acid, [A⁻] = concentration of conjugate base, [HA] = concentration of weak acid

This equation helps in determining the pH by considering the concentrations of the weak acid and its conjugate base.
